When did people get away from actually dressing up for job interviews?

Maybe it's just my line of work. Since no one values food service and retail jobs, I guess there's no need to get fancy for the interview, huh?

Just because it's not some high paying corporate job doesn't mean you should skimp on your appearance for the interview. We foodservice hiring managers are, in fact, looking at your appearance. Now, I'm not saying that you should be in full out formal wear, but the least you can do is put on a nice, clean shirt and a REAL pair of pants. Fixing your hair is pretty important too.

In other words, don't show up for your interview looking like trash.

Since then I've added some more tips and outfit ideas for you to use as a guide to figure out what's appropriate for your interview. Some of these tips include finding the right fit in different types of clothes which can be used at any time. I'm constantly adding pins to this board so be sure to follow me over on Pinterest.
