The one thing I hate about working a job is all of the rules and regulations that are in place. One of the reasons I've always wanted to work for myself was to be able to do what I want when I want. In this post, I want to share with you a few things that I'm looking forward to whenever I'm working for myself 100%. Let's name them "#FreedomGoals".
(Disclaimer: I didn't say I hated my job. I just want to make that clear before people take that and run with it.)
Getting my nails done again.
OMG! When I tell you that I miss being able to get my nails done... I MEAN THAT!!! I'm so serious! I miss my nails being long and beautiful. I can't wait to get some long ass coffin-shaped nails in a stupid loud color. I get so jealous when I see other girls with them. *sad face*
Traveling whenever I want.
I LOVE traveling. If I had to choose to work a job for the rest of my life, I would choose a job that allowed me to travel. I love the thought of packing a bag and just jet setting at the drop of a dime. This will be my life one day!
Letting my natural hair be wild and free.
I love my wash and gos. Working in food service requires me to have my hair pulled back all the time. Having your natural hair in a ponytail for 10 hours a day 5 days a week is boring AF. My curls just want to be free! Some jobs just don't want your hair to be great!
Spending more time with my daughter.
Of course this would make the list. Having to go to a job for 10 hours a day just make it's so hard to be there for her like I want to. Luckily, right now I work a pretty good schedule to where I'm not away from her TOO much, but still. I would like that time maximized.
Waking up whatever time I want.
I'll still have to get up and get my daughter ready for school during the week, but on the weekends my ass WILL be sleeping in!
Spending more time with my boyfriend.
Well, yeah I had to throw him in there too. We both work quite a bit (he works WAY more than I do) and it would be nice to be able to see him more. We're currently in a long distance relationship and I hate when I have to rush back home to get to work.
What are your #freedomgoals?
Freedom goals don't necessarily have to pertain to freedom from a job. They can also be freedom from school, a relationship, home, or anything else you feel is holding you back from being your true self. So you may not be like me and wish to run your own kingdom, but if you had the freedom to do anything you wanted, what would you do? Leave your response in the comments below or tweet them with using #freedomgoals. I look forward to your answers!
